Product Questions

  • The primary allergens in sheep's wool are lanolin and the protein in wool fibers, which are not present in Seawool.

  • Shellfish allergies are triggered by the "meat" of the marine animal, not the shell. Oyster shells are bone-like and primarily composed of calcium. During the Seawool creation process, the upcycled oyster shells are heated to over 1,000 °F for multiple hours, then they are crushed and added to recycled polyester to create Seawool yarn. To be safe, however, we suggest talking to an allergist if you have specific concerns.

  • Yes. While the solid knits and leatherette accents on the Tura stroller, Veni convertible car seat, Juni infant car seat, and Sera bassinet are all partially constructed from Seawool, the mélange fabrics and mesh accents are derived from recycled polyester.
